2019 K-6 Swimming Program

As a result of the very positive continuing response from students, staff and parents to our previous K-6 Swimming program, we will be holding this valuable water survival / learn to swim / life-saving skills program again this year, at WAVES Swimming pool. 

There will be a heavy emphasis on water survival and water safety for less able swimmers and on life-saving skills, for advanced swimmers. Swimmers will practise safety jumps & tows, basic emergency procedures, retrieval of objects and swimming fully-clothed over the 10 day scheme. It will be expected that these swimmers will improve their swimming stokes in all styles and will learn to improve their proficiency at the tumble turn and the racing dive. 

All students will be given ample opportunity to extend and improve their swimming skills during this 10 day intensive program.
